ABOUT ME

Welcome to my blog! My name is Katya Vera and I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. I grew up in the Central Valley of California, a rural, medically-underserved region, where I was raised by my single mother. I am passionate about health equity and am currently attending Stanford University School of Medicine to pursue my calling of being a physician.
